Traditional & Implant Dentures
Dentures are a prosthetic – a replacement body part. They replace teeth.
Partial dentures replace multiple non-adjacent teeth, and full dentures replace all teeth, on the top or bottom arch. Your denture or partial can be secured by natural suction, clasps, denture adhesive, or dental implants.
The Modern Denture Difference
Many patients hesitate to ask us about dentures, worried that they will wind up with a set similar to those they remember their parents or grandparents wearing.
We have excellent news for you, though.
Modern dentures are designed to look incredibly lifelike and fit comfortably and securely. We can even add extra security by designing dentures that lock in to dental implants.
We trust our dentures to highly skilled labs that work with the best quality materials. Colors are matched to look natural and complement your skin tone and facial features. Individual teeth are designed with slight variations to avoid the “unnaturally perfect” look that was common with dentures of the past.
Dr. Nguyen will work closely with you to make sure that you are happy with the look and fit of your dentures.
If you are in need of dentures, please talk to us. Millions of people are wearing dentures, and it’s nothing to be embarrassed about. Chances are good that you already know someone who wears dentures and you aren’t even aware of it – which speaks to the high quality and natural appearance of today’s dentures!
Traditional Partial Dentures
Made with highly esthetic materials, partial dentures can give you a natural-looking, fully functioning smile. Replacement teeth are placed on a gum-colored base, and the prosthetic is held in place with inconspicuous clasps that attach to surrounding teeth. Partial dentures are a removable appliance.
For optimal comfort, Dr, Nguyen often recommends Valplast Flexible Partials. These strong, lightweight prosthetics are created to move and flex for optimal comfort.
Traditional Full Dentures
Full dentures are also made with esthetic and comfortable dental materials. A full denture can be made for the top or bottom teeth. Traditional dentures are usually held in place by natural suction or with denture adhesive.
Implant-Secured Dentures and Partials
Unlike traditional dentures and partials, implant-secured prosthetics are secured to implant posts. The implant posts feature snaps on top, and the denture or partial is fitted with the opposite end of the snap. These removable prosthetics do not slip or loosen. Often, patients with lower dentures opt for an implant-secured denture.
