A note from Dr. Nguyen:
"Why am I a dentist? ..besides loving science and art painting, I believe that everyone deserves to have a healthy mouth, smile with confidence, and be pain-free. I know that many people have had bad experiences with their dental treatment, so I want to be able to give them a better experience. Dental treatment does not have to hurt or rough. We use the latest advances to make you are comfortable, for example, very effective numbing gel, massaging wands (Vibraject) during anesthetics, and allow time for you to be numb. It also helps that I wear extra small gloves! Even with all that, some people just prefer to have sedation. We have different types of sedation to choose from. You can be lightly sedated or choose general sedation. I also believe in helping as much as I can with finances. That’s why we have Compassion Financing and try to give you affordable options. We want to help as many people as possible to have a happy and healthy life.
I believe that we are all responsible for the environment. We built this office to be eco-friendly and try to not be wasteful.
My philosophy for dental health is prevention and minimalist. If a tooth looks suspicious of caries, then I would keep it on monitor status. Studies have found many correlations between the bacteria in the mouth linked with dementia, Alzheimer, and heart disease. If there is anything we can do to suggest and prevent you from getting caries, gum disease, or losing your teeth, that would be my preference. The more we can conserve your natural teeth, the better!"

Christine - Registered Dental Assistant
Christine decided to study dental assisting in 2003. She chose this profession because her son had a very difficult time with dental appointments.
"I had positive and negative experiences during his appointments, dependent on the staff," Christine says. "I decided that I wanted to be one of those people who had a positive impact on my son’s outlook on going to the dentist." Christine graduated from UEI, San Diego, in April of 2004.
Over the last 12 years of learning and exploring the world of dentistry, Christine still finds that her favorite part is working with our patients. "It has been a pleasure to assist with patients’ care while trying to understand their needs and concerns," Christine says. "It is especially rewarding knowing that our patients place such a high amount of trust in me."
Everyday, Christine drives out to Encinitas from Fallbrook to be a part of the Delicate Dental Team. "Work is pleasure when I get to go to an office that is on the top of all the new technologies," she says.
When Christine is away from work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, her three children, and her two dogs. She also helps seniors in my area.
On some weekends, Christine gets to work with the military reservists to be sure they are dentally prepared if deployment calls. In her spare time, Christine is an avid quilter. She and her husband also enjoy hiking, camping, and cooking.
Margie - Registered Dental Assistant
As a Registered Dental Assistant, Margie seeks to ensure that her patients are comfortable at every appointment. "The most rewarding part for me is seeing each patient with a confident smile after treatment and empowering them to take control of their dental care," she says. "I enjoy my job at Delicate Dental Arts. I enjoy delivering great patient care and supporting my teammates."
Margie is a native of Venezuela and she is also bilingual in Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys professional photography so you may find Margie shooting pictures for families on the weekends or covering other events in the San Diego area.
Amber, Registered Dental Hygienist
I am originally from Wisconsin and have moved around the states quite a bit. I started my hygiene career in 2014 in Portland Oregon and have loved it every day since. My favorite part of hygiene is personally getting to know all of my patients and making their dental experience the best it can be.
In my free time, I like spending as much time outdoors as possible like hiking, camping and staying active. I love traveling and can’t wait to create new experiences. I am married and have one dog.
